Meet the Designer, Alan Soriano

Get to know WHO's behind SARI

Known simply as Alan to his peers and family,

Mr. Soriano is a native of Bulacan who lives in Tabang, Guiguinto. A high school graduate of CEU-Malolos,

he went to the University of Sto. Tomas. After several stints

in theatre arts and choreography upon graduation, Mr. Soriano flew to Saipan to bring his artistic talent into international appreciation where he came up with fabulous shows worthy of Las Vegas. After proving his directorial talent and conceptual skills in the entertainment industry, he ventured to Brunei to be engaged in the airline and hotel services.

Alan came home to the Philippines after five years and found himself in the lap of advertising and events during the late nineties. After honing his skills in graphics design, video editing and staging corporate events, Alan went back to Brunei to become a name to be reckoned in events coordination.

There, along with local partners, he established Sagemark Integrated Services, Primedia Events Management International, and L&A Powers Incorporated - three of the most aggressive and dynamic events outfit in Brunei. His hands-on business acumen brought him achievements that took him to various Asian countries where he built his appreciation and knowledge on homogeneous cultures yet maintaining a humble outlook in life.

Looking back though, Alan has always wanted to be a choreographer. However, full of artistic creativity and entrepreneurial zest, Alan went to venture into fashion design. With his know-how in events management and advertising, not to mention his impeccable taste for interior design, Alan was able to break into this field and has made his name in providing quality service that fits every budget by putting up Sari Fashionline Boutique Collection, or popularly known as Sari. With such outfit, Alan Soriano yet again conquers a realm he will surely govern with great success.

Now, Malolos City has somebody to put its name in the fashion arena as Alan Soriano dresses up

almost all the wonderful events that happen in this budding city.

Not only do we sell, rent, design gowns

and men’s formal outfit, or provide a fabulous events coordination such as fashion shows and weddings but we have also been a big part of Bulacan’s fashion resurgence. Sari participates and contributes to the promotion of Bulacan’s cultural community.

The Birth of SARI

                                      

Fashion.  I don't quite remember when I actually began to like fashion.  But I'm one who would frequently criticize the way people dress themselves.  Some are funny, some are weird.  While they are the 'out-of-fashion' creatures (as I would call them), I still sense a rare feeling for them, admiring their uniqueness in style and their ability to turn heads around as they walk pass people.  From 'ka-weirdo-han',  I thought "hmmm, kakaibang fashion ito".  Maybe it's the way they walk or their way of successfully mixing colors and prints in a style that is uniquely their own.  Ahhh, fashionista sila!

I guess I began experimenting with fashion after getting hooked-up with that idea.  I then thought of creating designs that would make people open their eyes to new trends and style, yung kakaiba. Then  SARI Collection was born.

1. This was the very first ad of SARI.  Noticed the shadows on the header?  Well, I didn't have much photos to put that time so I tried to fill the space by doing that.  And (i think) it worked.

I go by the name of Alan Soriano.

1. And my story begins here.

I completely had no idea on how or where to start.  I began sketching a woman's figure first.  And mind you, it wasn't easy.  I struggled hard to sketch a woman's figure in diferrent poses.  Naka pamewang, nakatagilid, front view, nakatalikod pero naka-sulyap ang mukha sa harap..... , whoa! Why was it that hard?  I have watched quite a number of fashion videos and they sketch stunning designer-clothesinn no time at all.  After almost a month, I then thought to myself that I could start designing clothes already.  I sketched body forms beauuutifully!  Then real business began.
